I’m glad you’re here.

Allow Me to Introduce Myself

Born into a family that had gradually drifted away from its roots, I, a fourth-generation Mexican American, yearned for a connection to my heritage. This desire intensified when I met and married a courageous Mexican immigrant who faced formidable hurdles in the United States, including language and cultural barriers. Empathizing with his struggles, I became acutely aware of the challenges countless Latino generations face. Driven by a deep understanding of the importance of cultural preservation, I set out to empower and uplift all Latinos, ensuring they could thrive and maintain their unique cultural identities.

With unwavering determination, I established a business dedicated to bridging the gap between Latino generations. Offering a range of resources, from language courses to cultural immersion programs, I aimed to provide a supportive platform where individuals of all backgrounds and demographics could flourish.

Drawing from my personal experiences and the valuable insights gained through my husband's journey, I passionately strived to build a community that celebrated diversity, fostered unity, and enabled all Latinos to embrace their cultural heritage with pride. Together, we will forge a path toward a brighter future where Latino generations can thrive while preserving the vibrant tapestry of their identity.

A little bit about me.

Idaho has a large Latino population from many countries and many generations! Many Latinos are bilingual, many are not. One thing many Latinos have in common is “FOCUS ON THE FAMILIA”. I share my familia, my vida cotidiana (daily life) and Idaho’s beauty from my perspective. Empowering through Latino culture and spirituality!

Why do I call myself LATINA?

Because I identify with Latino culture, traditions, and heritage associated with Latin America or the Hispanic world.  "Latina" refers to a woman of Latin American or Hispanic origin, although it can also be used to refer to people of any gender who identify with this cultural background.

People who identify as Latina share a common language (such as Spanish or Portuguese), religious traditions, and cultural practices. We have similar experiences related to immigration, discrimination, and marginalization in certain societies.

It's important to note that "Latina" is a self-identification term and that each person's individual experience and relationship to this identity may differ. Some people may choose to identify as Hispanic, Chicana, Latinx, or another related term. Ultimately, the decision to identify with a particular cultural group is a personal one, and it is up to each individual to decide how they wish to define themselves. I am a Latina Livin’ in Idaho!!
